Hi, I’m Tylre (she/her).
I’m the founder of Heartwood Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. I’m a licensed practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in the state of Florida.
I began my health care journey at the North East School of Botanical Medicine, where my love for plants was further cultivated through regular plant identification walks and learning how to harvest and make medicine from plants in the wild. I indirectly found Five Element Acupuncture as a result of my passion for plants and my desire to bring more holistic healthcare options to the Tallahassee community. A huge part of Five Element Acupuncture is connected to the natural rhythms of nature; it’s about recognizing the patterns in nature and understanding that those same patterns occur in our bodies as well. Disease and illness occur when those natural patterns are disrupted. Bringing a person back to health requires restoring those patterns – which is what Five Element Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine do best. I love the fact that I can connect all of these modalities back to our natural systems and stay in alignment with my love of our earth while doing my work and helping those around me.
I spend my free time gardening, riding bikes, training my Australian cattle dog, Pip, and doing things out in nature with friends and family.
